SYSTRAN today announce an agreement under which its translation technology will be available as a new resource for millions of AOL and CompuServe users, providing these users with real-time translations of Web content and text.
Under the agreement, SYSTRAN’s translation service will be available through AOL’s Research and Learn Channel and CompuServe’s Research Channel, enabling members of both services to translate foreign text and web content in real-time gaining instant results. The Systran Translation Service will offer translations for the five most commonly used languages – English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. The walls of the language barrier have come tumbling down through Systran’s Translation, now available on both AOL and CompuServe, allowing millions of children and adults to communicate with friends and family and to understand new information in different languages,” states Dimitrios Sabatakakis, President and CEO for SYSTRAN Group. ” We are proud to have our technology so easily available to the largest audiences on the Internet”.
